Managing Celiac Disease in Learning Environments
The Celiac Disease Management Plan for Learning Environments (CDMP) standardizes federal accommodations required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, based upon what is medically and psychologically necessary for a child with celiac disease to succeed at school. The CDMP may differ between schools based upon state and local regulations. Staff should work as a team with each child’s medical provider and family to develop an individual 504 Plan comprised of accommodations listed in the school’s CDMP.
The Celiac School Action Guidelines Training Program is designed to provide educators, healthcare professionals, food service providers, and parents and guardians with the necessary tools to ensure the safety of a child with celiac disease in any learning environment. This training program will complement the 2020 Voluntary Recommendations for Managing Celiac Disease in Learning Environments guide.
ADDITIONAL TRAINING MODULES AVAILABLE IN LATE 2020.
