The Celiac Disease Foundation is delighted to be an Official Charity Partner for the 2024 Los Angeles Marathon. On March 17, six dedicated Team Gluten-Free® runners will come together to conquer 26.2 miles, all with a shared mission – raising crucial funds to advance the diagnosis, treatments, and finding a cure for celiac disease.

In our pursuit of critical federal support for celiac disease, we understand that true progress requires a multifaceted approach. While government support is invaluable, we also recognize the power of strategic collaboration with the private sector to drive the much-needed change our community deserves.

Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. recently published encouraging results from a non-clinical study on DONQ52, an experimental medication for celiac disease. The findings show its potential to block the immune response to gluten in celiac disease without affecting the rest of the immune system.  

The Celiac Disease Foundation is proud to announce that Robert Anderson, MB, ChB, PhD, has joined the Foundation as its Principal Science & Innovation Advisor. In his new role, Dr. Anderson will draw on his extensive background to provide scientific expertise and guidance to the organization and its stakeholders.
