You know better than anyone the challenges of living with celiac disease. As CEO of the Celiac Disease Foundation, I am scheduled to testify on April 9th in front of the Congressional Appropriations Subcommittee responsible for NIH funding for celiac disease research. I want to bring with me stories from people like you to share with the Subcommittee, and to share with your Congressional representatives.

Celiac disease is a serious, autoimmune disorder impacting millions of Americans that has been neglected by NIH and the entire federal medical bureaucracy. Adhering to a strict, gluten-free diet can be a challenge, emotionally, financially and physically. For many, even strict adherence to the gluten-free diet doesn’t mitigate all symptoms.

And for all of us, the long-term implications of celiac disease, especially for life-threatening comorbidities, are frightening. We are demanding better from all involved, including Congress.

I encourage you to click here to share your story.
